Holt-Lunstad and her team created the KIND challenge where participants commit to offering an act of kindness every week for a month. More than 4,000 participants chose from various options such as acts of service, sharing information or connecting with others.

Participants noticed a reduction in loneliness, less anxiety, better neighborhood connections and more.
