BYU students worked alongside Professor Matt Arrington and the Food & Care Coalition to build a greenhouse capable of producing fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the winter season.

Crops grown in the greenhouse provide additional options for staff of the coalition to prepare nutritious meals for their patrons without requiring increased donations or relying on canned produce. The project enlists additional work by volunteer students and is ultimately to be run by the coalition.

A 16-person team of students, faculty, alumni and friends from the BYU Marriott School of Business MPA program biked in the Salt to Saint Relay. The cycling race spans 429.2 miles from Salt Lake City to Saint George, Utah.

While split into two eight-person teams, all members caravanned together alongside those who were riding to cheer each other on. The team, who referred to themselves as the “iMPActers,” was the second group to represent the MPA program in a cycling relay.

The entire team rode with the final riders for the last 2 miles of the race, finishing altogether after a total of 31 hours, 4 minutes and 1 second.
