The BYU Jerusalem Center partnered with Latter-day Saint Charities to fund a multi-sensory stimulation room at Al Basma School for special education in Beit Hanina, Jerusalem. The grand opening was held on Sept. 19.

Through things such as lighting, sound, objects and visuals, the room promotes relaxation and calmness for kids with sensory processing issues, developmental delays and autism.

The new room makes the school one of the leading institutions for special education in Jerusalem, according to the BYU Jerusalem Center. The room is projected to be very beneficial to the kids and community it serves.
