Students gathered in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom to attend BYU’s annual Accessibility Center banquet, where they enjoyed dinner with their peers and celebrated their achievements.
BYU alumni Keith and Carol Jenkins hosted their 25th annual Accessibility Center banquet, where students with accommodations are recognized for their achievements, as well as the volunteers and faculty members who support them.
Students with academic accommodations found their seats accompanied by a guest of their choice.
Students, faculty and volunteers made their way to the stage to receive their awards.
Emma Breckon was one of those students. Breckon said she does not think she would be able to complete her major without the accessibility center.
Ed Martinelli is the director of the BYU Accessibility Center. Martinelli said it's incredible to see how much the banquet has grown over the past 25 years, expanding from the university honoring just six students to several dozen.
26 students were awarded scholarships, and Keith and Carol Jenkins continue to look for ways to support the accessibility center and its students.
