BYU students enjoy the holidays with the Boston Brass quintet

BYU students and guests celebrated the holidays with a Christmas concert performed by the Boston Brass on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

The Boston Brass quintet was joined by local brass and percussion players, including several BYU School of Music faculty members. 

The concert featured a variety of arrangements of Christmas favorites from the Stan Kenton Orchestra.

Before the concert, dozens of students had the opportunity to learn from the quintet during a private master class.

BYU students learn about different Christmas traditions

BYU students had the opportunity to learn more about Christmas traditions found all around the world with the Foreign Student Service Organization and Sigma Iota Rho on Thursday, Dec. 14.

Students met in the Herald R. Clark Building at 6:30 p.m. as members of the Foreign Student Service Organization and Sigma Iota Rho taught guests about traditions found around the world.

Guests were treated to a hot chocolate bar as while as various prize giveaways during the event.
