BYU to play against Oklahoma State during final conference road trip

BYU women's soccer team will be traveling to its final conference game Thursday against Oklahoma State. BYU currently ranks 4-0-3 in the Big 12 conference while Oklahoma State ranks 4-3.

Looking back on Monday's game against Kansas State, the Cougars won their first-ever Big 12 home game with an impressive 2-0 win. Kendell Petersen recorded her first goal of the season while Allie Fryer recorded her seventh. Against the Wildcats, BYU took 38 shots and 13 corner kicks resulting in new season-high rankings. Brecken Mozingo was also seen assisting two goals Monday night and has now assisted in four consecutive goals for the Cougars.

Oklahoma State Cowgirls most recent game was played on Sunday against West Virginia, resulting in a loss against the Mountaineers 1-0.

BYU and Oklahoma State have played against one another two times previously. The first ending in a 1-1 draw and the most recent ending in a loss for the Cougars 2-1. At the time, the Cowgirls were ranked No. 2 when they took down the Cougars during overtime.

This go around however, BYU's Cougars are coming off of a first-ever Big 12 conference home game win and are currently No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll.

With senior, Bella Folino having 32 career goals and senior Brecken Mozingo with 29 career goals, Thursday nights game will be the one to watch to see if these two players will continue with their goal scoring streak.

The game will kickoff at 6 p.m. MDT at the Neal Patterson Stadium. It will also be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
