A fire hydrant burst on a street in Santa Barbara, California on Jan. 9, adding to the flooding that isalready prevalentin the area due to heavy winter storms.
The flooding started when the storms hit northern California early morning on Jan. 9 and conditions are expected to continue until Thursday, Jan. 12. Sacramento Countyurgedthousands of residents to leave their homes after the storms left 14 people dead.
