A massive humpback whale breached the sea inches from a fishing boat off the coast of the Jersey Shore on Oct. 13.
A father and son were out fishing for tuna and striped bass when the whale leaped out of the sea. Humpback whales and other large animals are very prevalent along the Jersey Shore this time of year due to the abundance of small fish.
