Sister Donna Packer Passes Away

(The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Newsroom)

Latter-day Saints mourned the death of Sister Donna Edith Smith Packer after she passed away this weekend. Sister Packer died at the age of 94 in her home last Saturday. She was the wife of the late Boyd K. Packer who served as president of the Quorum of the Twelve of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Brother and Sister Packer were married in 1947 in the Logan Temple and had 10 children together. She was a faithful support to her husband during his dedicated church service from 1970 until he passed away in 2015.

She will be remembered for her focus on having faith daily, being courageous in times of trials, serving God and mankind and keeping covenants to follow Jesus Christ.
