DUI

Feb. 19 — A driver was booked into Utah County Jail for driving while intoxicated, drinking in a vehicle and failing to signal with no insurance and a suspended license.

Information

Feb. 19 — A complainant reported being scammed by a locksmith. The locksmith helped her unlock her car and then charged $500. An officer referred her to the Better Business Bureau and the Division of Consumer Protection.

Harassment

Feb. 19 — A woman reported concern about being harassed by a man who she had dated and who would not leave her alone. She met with an officer and, after determining the facts of the case, the officer decided it was borderline harassment. The officer was not able to contact the man, but he left a message at his number. The officer also advised the complainant to follow up if the suspect reached out again. She was also referred to investigations and BYU Victims Advocate.

Vehicle Burglary

Feb. 19 — A laptop was reported stolen from a vehicle.

Suspicious

Feb. 19 — Officers were dispatched to the Snell Building following a report of a suspicious woman.

Feb. 19 — A concerned person reported seeing a suspicious person remove hidden food from under their coat and put it in the trunk of a car. This happened several times over an extended period.
