BYU says masks now optional in classrooms, indoors

Masks will no longer be required inside classrooms and other indoor spaces on the BYU campus as of Feb. 23.

The update encouraged the campus community to continue to show love to those who continue to wear masks.

The announcement comes a few days after BYU lifted the vaccination and COVID-19 testing requirement for attendees at indoor large public events. BYU still encourages the COVID-19 vaccination and booster immunization.
