The city of Provo certified the election of three women to various positions in the community.
Utah County Elections Office completed the audit of the 2021 Municipal General Election and the results were certified yesterday during the board of canvassers meeting. Of the four positions available this election cycle, three were filled by women.
Mayor Michelle Kaufusi will be serving for another term. Rachel Whipple and Katrice Mackay were also elected for Provo City Council. The women will all officially take office at noon on Jan. 3, 2022.
