At least four cities and towns in Utah appear to have elected their first female mayors.

Mollie Halterman is set to become Parowan’s first female mayor in its 170 year history. North Logan native Lyndsay Peterson is currently the chair of the city’s planning commission and will be making the transition to mayor.

Nann Worel has spent the past few years on the Park City Council and will move to the seat of Park City Mayor. West Valley City native of 27 years Karen Lang will be stepping up to mayor after spending the last few years on the city’s tree committee and city council.

These four women will begin their mayor positions in January.
