The state of Utah ranked above the national average for the quality of the community’s relationship with students.

American Addiction Centers reported on how well each local community gets along with their university-age residents. A score of one indicates the worst relationship and a score of ten is the best.

Utah scored a seven which is above the national average of six.

American Addiction Centers also reported that over half of national survey respondents have previously had bad experiences with drunk college students. But with BYU’s “Stone Cold Sober” streak, the university likely doesn’t contribute much to that statistic.
