Owners of a Toyota Prius or other Japanese brand of car should be on the lookout for car part thieves.

BYU Police are warning of quite a few car part thefts along the Wasatch Front. Three catalytic converters were stolen from cars parked on BYU campus just this week. The thieves seem to be targeting Japanese car brands including Toyota and Honda.

The parts only sell for $200, but the theft leaves behind $3,000 in damage to the car. Police are asking anyone who sees two feet sticking out from under a car to call the police.
