Meet statistics professor Lynne Nielsen! Before coming to BYU, Nielsen worked with the Philippines government to bring electricity to rural areas of the country. Most recently she published the book, “The First Political Order: How Sex Shapes Governance and National Security Worldwide” with fellow professors Valerie M. Hudson and Donna Lee Bowen. Featured on The Economist, the book explores how the treatment of women shapes a country.
