The Provo Police Department tweeted it is investigating a criminal mischief and trespassing incident at the Provo Temple on Aug. 3.
Several windows and doors at the temple were damaged.
Provo Police detective Robert Campbell said the police don't know whether this incident is connected to the Missionary Training Center shooting earlier that day.
