A missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints died on Nov. 26, Church spokesman Daniel Woodruff said in a statement.
Zane Lamping reported to the South Africa Missionary Training Center in Johannesburg on Nov. 22. On Monday, Nov. 26, Lamping collapsed while exercising. Woodruff said in the statement that Lamping died at a local hospital.
Lamping, 19, was assigned to the South Africa Johannesburg Mission and was from Moapa, Nevada. The cause of death is still unknown.
'Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones,' Woodruff wrote. 'We pray they will feel the love of our Heavenly Father during this difficult time.'
