Utah’s 4th Congressional Debate

“People need results here. People need results in the fourth district,” said Utah U.S Representative, Mia Love.

Two-term incumbent Representative, Mia Love, is defending her seat in congress against Salt Lake County Mayor, Ben McAdams.

Last night, the two candidates met for the first and only time to debate the issues of the race.

“Words are one thing, and actions are another,” said McAdams.

Congresswoman, Mia Love, and her democratic opponent, Ben McAdams, spent the debate talking about a variety of pressing issues from national debt, to healthcare, social security, retirement, and immigration.

“I’m gonna continue to work for that, because this is something that is incredibly not just important, but also personal to me,” said Love.

McAdams didn’t hold back from countering her statement on immigration.

“Right when that vote was about to happen, representative Love withdrew her support in that discharged petition fail,” said McAdams.

The two found some agreement on tariffs, but disagreed on almost everything else.

“Our representative sides with partisan interest and supports this president’s agenda 97.5 percent of the time,” McAdams stated.
