Utah offers a plethora of opportunities to celebrate the Fall and Halloween season. From corn mazes to haunted houses to races, people of all ages (and fright tolerance) can enjoy fun activities this October.
Corn mazes/Carnivals
Cornbelly's (Thanksgiving Point, 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi)
This Halloween carnival offers a plethora of fun activities for every age, from rides to slides to games. Cornbelly's main attraction is the corn maze - one of the largest in the world - which is superhero themed this year and takes 45 minutes to an hour and a half to complete.
This family-operated organic farm opens an annual fairgrounds and corn maze for customers of all ages. Solve the maze, play on the fairgrounds, ride the hayride and slingshot some pumpkins.
Tickets: Adults (9-59) $9 | Kids and Seniors (4-8 and 60+) $7 | Toddlers (3 and under) free.
Follow the winding trail through forests, swamps, shacks and mine shafts, and watch out for creatures and chain saws hiding behind the trees. This haunted attraction is the longest in length and time. Fright Rating: 7/10.

Clowns pop up around every corner in this indoor/outdoor haunted circus. Rumor has it the creature from 'It' is running the show this year. Fright Rating: 7/10.
This underground haunted house offers a uniquely frightening hands-on option. Choose Level 3, and the actors can touch you; choose Level 4, and the actors can pick you up, drag you away and separate you from your group. Fright rating: 8/10.

An all indoor haunted house, Nightmare on 13th boasts impressively frightening animatronics and high quality sets. There's a reason this attraction is the most popular haunted house in Utah. Fright rating: 9/10.

Experience Cornbelly's main haunted walk through and three mini haunted mazes in addition to all the main carnival rides and activities. Brave the Hayloff Horror - a long walk through combining indoor and outdoor farm-themed frights, walk through the inside of the Creature, run away from clowns in Big Top Terror and escape a dark maze in Chaos Castle. Fright Rating: 7/10.
Ride the Heber Creeper for a 40 minute ride with Halloween Characters. Admission includes train ride, a pumpkin cookie, kid activities and your pick of a pumpkin from their patch.
Tickets: $15 | Toddlers (2 and under) $3 with pumpkin or free without pumpkin.
This one time event on Oct. 28 celebrates the family history-focused Latin American holiday Dia de los Muertos. The event will include performances, art, live music, food and storytellers.
Tickets: $8 in advance, $10 day-of | Kids (12 and under) free.
Pumpkin Nights, Salt Lake City (Friday, Oct. 13 - Sunday, Oct. 29)
Pumpkin Nights invites visitors to experience the essence of Halloween while walking through ten immersive lands created with over 3,000 hand-carved pumpkins.
All of the theme park's non-water rides and other attractions open back up for the Halloween season, along with several frightening Haunted Houses. Haunted attractions range from one spider (fun for kids) to five spiders (very scary).
Sundance's Fall version of its summer Full Moon Lift is a fun family, friend or date night activity for all ages. Ride the 45 minute Ray's Ski Lift through mountain terrain decorated with Halloween scenes, and watch the complimentary Halloween movie at the base. Bring blankets!
