Drugs

May 19 – At around 11 p.m. the smell of marijuana was allegedly identified at Helaman Halls by an RA. The scent was supposedly coming from a certain male dorm room. Officers made contact with the student and found no indication of narcotic use or drug paraphernalia.

Theft

May 23 – An individual reported a bike that was stolen from a bike rack near the Morris Center. The incident was reported around 1:30 p.m. The bike had been locked with a heavy duty cable lock, which was also found missing. The bike was valued at $150.

May 20 – At around 2 p.m. a male student reported a bike being stolen from the JKB bike rack. The student left the unsecured bike while he went to class at 11 a.m. and when he returned it was missing. Value of the bike was $200.

Trespassing

May 21 – Around 2:30 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a male student trespassing in LaVell Edwards Stadium. The student was located in the parking lot. The student was running the stairs for fitness. The officer gave him a warning.

Assault

May 18 – A simple assault was reported around 8 a.m. at 600 Block Independence Avenue.

Burglary

May 22 – Unlawful entry of a residential home was reported at 1 a.m. around 1 Block West and 880 North Street.

May 18 – Around 8 p.m. a burglary was reported at a residential home near 800 Block West and 1020 South Street.

Disorderly conduct

May 23 – Around midnight disorderly conduct was reported near 400 Block South and 1850 West Street.

May 20 – Disorderly conduct was reported at 200 Block University Ave. around 2 a.m. Disorderly conduct was reported around this same location a day prior at 8 a.m.

Drugs and alcohol

May 23 – Around 7 a.m. a person was reported of possessing meth near 1000 Block East and 360 South Street.

May 22 – A person was found possessing marijuana near 600 Block Slate Canyon Dr. at 2 a.m.

May 20 – Around 8 p.m. a person was reported to be driving under the influence around 600 Block East and 300 South Street.

May 18 – Around 9 p.m. a person was reported to be in possession of marijuana near 100 Block Boulders.

Theft

May 22 – A car was reported stolen near 700 Block West and 100 South Street around 7 a.m.

Fraud

May 20 – Police were notified of a woman using two counterfeit $20 bills at a gas station. Police are reviewing video surveillance.

Assault

May 20 – A man was taken into custody after he threatened his roommates with a knife. The two roommates suffered only minor injuries during the fight.

Theft

May 20 – Three people were found shoplifting at Family Dollar. One woman had stolen property in her purse, right next to her bag full of weed. One of the suspects had warrants out and the other was arrested because she had earlier theft accounts.

May 20 – Two juveniles were found shoplifting at Target. Another woman was found shoplifting at Target.

May 20 – Two women were found shoplifting at Harmon’s Grocery. One of the women received a citation and the other one was arrested due to prior theft accounts.
