BYU announced that the senior president of the Quorum of the Seventy Elder L. Whitney Clayton will be the scheduled speaker for the April 2016 Commencement Exercises.
Additionally, BYU Communications announced a schedule of graduation activities leading up to commencement including details for convocation, cap and gown exchange, a party and special address by President Kevin J Worthen.Where: Wilkinson Student Center

- 6 to 8 p.m.: Chick-fil-A sandwiches and food in the CougarEat and Department Fair
- 6 to 11 p.m.: Fun and Games: bowling, billiards, photo booth, karaoke, ping pong
- 8:15 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.: Prize giveaways
- 9:30 p.m.: President Worthen remarks in the WSC Ballroom
- 9:40 p.m.: International Folk Dance Performance

When: April 18-22, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Pre-order, Priority Pickup: April 18, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Normal Pickup: April 19-22, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

When: April 21, 4 p.m.
- Graduates: line up in the parking lot north of the ASB by 3:10 p.m.
- Guests: Doors open at 2 p.m. and seated by 3:15 p.m.
Instructions:
- Graduates will walk from the ASB to the Marriott Center.
- Guests must have all aisles clean for the procession.
