A UTA TRAX train collided with a small car leaving one dead and four injured.

A collision between a small car and a UTA TRAX train has left one person dead and four others injured. The accident took place around 11 a.m. at N. Temple and N. 600 West in Salt Lake City, officials said.

Occupants in the train that derailed — including the operator — sustained minor injuries. The driver of the car died on scene.

All westbound and eastbound lanes on N. Temple are currently closed, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. Officials say that the accident cleanup could take as long as seven hours. The accident has caused some delays on the Green Line and transfers between the FrontRunner and TRAX are taking place at the Salt Lake Central Station.
