Bicycle theft

Sept. 24—A locked Specialized bicycle, estimated value around $400, was stolen from the Life Science Building bike racks.

Harassment

Sept. 24—A male student reported a harassment incident on Sept. 24 where an older man stared at him as he showered in the Smith Fieldhouse men’s locker room. The student said the man followed him and watched him get dressed through a mirror. Police said there was no crime committed because the older man did not touch the victim.

Sexual assault

Sept. 21—A female student reported a sexual assault. Police are investigating.

 


Provo


Car accident

Sept. 23—A car with four young adult males rolled off the Squaw Peak Road in Provo Canyon, Provo Police said on Facebook. The car landed 150 feet away from the road, east of the Provo Gun Club. All four occupants were transported to the hospital. “The vehicle was going too fast for conditions due to the incline and sharp turns of the roadway,” police said.

Aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping

Sept. 22— Police responded to a 911 call about the caller’s child being stabbed, Provo Police said on Facebook. When the police arrived a 22-year-old Provo woman was holding a knife to a 24-year-old woman’s throat. The two are related. The 22-year-old called out for the police to shoot her or she was going to stab the other woman. Another officer arrived and the knife was put down as the 22-year-old attempted to pull the victim into the bed of a pick-up truck. Officers separated the two women and arrested the 22-year-old. There was no child involved.


Orem


Missing persons

Sept. 23—Emily Almiron, 23, and her son, Gabriel, 3, have been missing since Sept. 13, according to the Orem Police Facebook page. Almiron drives a red 2009 Toyota Prius with a Utah license plate X19 8BJ. If anyone sees the car, Orem Police request they call dispatch at 801-229-7070.

Robbery

Sept. 24—A robbery occurred around 2 p.m. at American West Bank at 1534 S. State Street, according to the Orem Police Facebook page. The robber was armed with a handgun and left the bank on foot heading west. Pictures of the suspect were posted to the Facebook page. The suspect was wearing a fake beard, red bandana, coveralls, a black T-shirt and had a strip of tape on his arm.
