A Pleasant Grove man was arrested for 88 counts of sexual abuse of a child last Tuesday.
Andrew M. Bishop, 33, turned himself into to the Pleasant Grove Police after one of his victims told a church leader of the incident. Bishop was confronted to call police or he would be turned in by the ecclesiastical leader.
Bishop was booked into the Utah County Jail and charged with nine first-degree felonies: six counts for sexual abuse of a child and three counts for sodomy on a child according to court records.
His initial appearance took place Wednesday. According to the Utah County Attorney’s office. Bishop doesn’t have an attorney yet.
Bishop’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 28.
