A candlelight vigil on behalf of missing woman Elizabeth Elena Laguna Salgado will take place at 6 p.m. at Pioneer Park. Salgado, 26, has been missing for 11 days.
Police said Salgado was last seen leaving the Nomen Global Language Center near 500 West and Center Street in Provo on April 16. According to her family, she was wearing a denim jacket, blue jeans, black or brown boots and was carrying a denim bag.
A search party of more than 300 volunteers met at the Covey Center on Saturday morning to search for Salgado. She is a returned missionary and recently moved to Utah from Mexico to study English.
The vigil organizers are asking participants to bring their own candles. For more information regarding search efforts for Salgado and the crowdfunding account created by the family, follow the community Facebook page.
