Two BYU divers advanced to the finals of the Zone E championships at the Air Force Academy this weekend.

Raleigh Williams Taylor and Nicholas Suder reached finals in their events. Taylor placed 18th in the one meter, and Suder placed 14th in the three meter. However, Taylor and Suder did not qualify for nationals.

“It was great to see Nic and Raleigh make the finals today,” BYU diving coach Keith Russell said in a news release. “We did some good things today, but we just didn’t dive our best. Everyone did well and I’m proud of how they competed today.”

Dayna Christensen finished 37th in the preliminaries of the one meter dive, and Matt Hopper barely missed qualifying, placing 20th in the three-meter dive preliminaries with a score of 275.30.
