The Cougars are optimistic that they will be a challenge to the Utes, especially after showing off the success of their systems against Boise State.
'It'll be a good test and good place to see how we ended out the season,' goaltender Dalton Spice said. 'We need to play a little more systems and do a little more passing.'
'Systems' in hockey refer to in-game organization and awareness, according to Spice, who grew up playing with members of the opposing team.
'A lot of those guys wanted me to go play with them, but I felt like BYU was the better option,' Spice said. 'I think it's going to be a pretty good game.'
The Cougars face the Utes on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Seven Peaks Ice Arena.
