The Utah County Board of Health is holding a meeting in Provo on Monday, July 16 .
Utah County residents, business owners and the general public are invited to attend the meeting to discuss various issues concerning public health.
Lance Madigan, a spokesman for the Board of Health, wrote in a news release, 'The Utah County Health Department seeks to prevent avoidable disease and injury, and promote health by monitoring the health of our community, and assuring conditions in which people can be healthy.'
The Board of Health's agenda for the July 16 meeting include a response to local fires, a mosquito abatement update, an annual independent audit report, the 2011 annual report, board member feedback from constituents and other items of business.
'The Board of Health meets regularly to discuss public health concerns, policies, procedures and issues. The public is invited to participate,' Madigan wrote.
Meetings generally are held every other month throughout the year.
The meeting will be held in the Utah County Health and Justice Building at 4 p.m.
