I find it highly irresponsible of most news organizations that so little has been mentioned about the upcoming SOPA/PIPA bill (Stop Online Privacy Act). I realize that hearing about the latest sports event is so much more interesting, but so often people are completely unaware of the issues that Congress is discussing that will affect our rights. I don’t care whether you are for or against the act, so long as it is actively discussed. When so much is at stake, it is unconscionable that any self-respecting facilitator of news, such as the Daily Universe, would leave its readers in the dark. As for the readers, I highly encourage you to look into this controversial piece of legislation. Educate yourselves and make your opinions known. Don’t let ignorance and indifference rule this nation!
