As the Draper Temple open house came to a close last Saturday, more than 650,000 visitors had navigated their way through the temple?s halls.

Friday at 9 a.m., the cornerstone ceremony will mark the first of the 12 dedicatory sessions of the building of the Draper Temple. President Thomas S. Monson will conduct the ceremony in front of the temple at the southeast cornerstone.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony at 14065 Canyon Vista Lane in Draper.

Once the Draper Temple is dedicated on March 22, it will be the 129th LDS temple in the world, and will serve more than 60,000 local church members.

The Draper Temple will be the 12th functioning temple in Utah. However, there will soon be 13, as the Oquirrh Temple will begin its open house in June and will be dedicated in mid-August.
