Cougar fans worldwide have a chance to show the nation that Cosmo is top college mascot for 2007.
For the sixth year in a row, Capital One is sponsoring an All-American Mascot Team and BYU's very own Cosmo has been selected to represent Cougartown in this year's class.
Fans from all over the country nominated their favorite mascots for this year's competition and now fans can vote for their favorites out of a class of mascots from 12 schools.
The voting will be done on a round-by-round basis with each mascot going head-to-head with another mascot each week for 12 weeks the mascot with the most total votes will be the winner. The winner will not only have the honor of being the top mascot in the nation but will also receive a $5,000 prize.
Until Sept. 16 fans can put in their votes for Cosmo as he faces off against Monte, two-time champion from the University of Montana. As of Wednesday, Cosmo was falling behind Monte in the voting and needs Cougar fans everywhere to step up and show a little Cougar pride.
