The Pendulum Court opened its doors Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, for the fall semester with classic favorites and some new entrees to savor.
New to the menu this semester are additional soups, a Raspberry Buttermilk Pie Tart, a Macaroon, and a Chicken Salad Sandwich.
A favorite lunch spot for students on campus, the Pendulum Court, is a lab run by dietetics students. The required course is designed to give students hands-on experience. Because the Pendulum Court is a class, it''s nonprofit and affordable quality food for students on campus. Students can order delicious homemade soup for $1.75, the cold fare for $4.00 or the featured attraction of the day for $4.50.
'What I like about the Pendulum Court is it''s healthy and it doesn''t seem like fast food because it''s made there. It seems fresh and it''s a lot better than anything else on campus. It''s also a good price,' said Madison Morgan, 20, a junior from Salt Lake City majoring in neuroscience.
Lunch at the Pendulum Court is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and Tuesday from noon to 1:10 p.m. following the devotional. Due to popularity among diners, reservations must be made on their Web site http://pencourt.byu.edu.
