The DVD 'Napoleon Dynamite' will not have any 'sweet nun-chuck skills,' 'bow-hunting skills' or 'computer hacking skills,' but it does have extra features.
The DVD, which will be in stores Dec. 21, includes deleted scenes, 'Wedding of the Century,' epilogue and commentary from director Jared Hess, main actor Jon Heder and producer Jeremy Coon.
'I would say the coolest thing is that it has ''Peluca'' the short film that we made a couple years ago,' Heder said, who played Napoleon Dynamite in the movie. 'That''s pretty cool. I think it''s good for people to see that, how it started out.'
Even as the star of the movie, Heder said he probably will not be the first to get a copy of the DVD.
'No, I''m sure someone already owns it,' Heder said. 'You talk about piracy, I''m sure people already own the DVD. And I don''t own one myself, so that''s already taken, but I''ll be the first one in my family to own it, maybe.'
Heder has had some time to adjust to the life of a famous celebrity. But there are still some parts about being famous that he is still not used to, such as being in the homes of people who purchase the DVD.
'That''s weird to think of... it feels very odd,' Heder said. 'I wish I could plant a tiny little camera on each DVD so I can be there when they watch it. That''s a little creepy.'
'Napoleon Dynamite' portrayed a high school nerd wearing a ''fro and moon boots. Napoleon teamed up with two friends from school to launch a campaign for student body president.
