It?s that wonderful time of year, the Alpine Playhouse will present the Christmas classic, ?It?s a Wonderful Life.?
The show will run Dec. 10, 11, 13, 15, 17,18, 20, and 22. The play will start at 7:30 p.m.
The play brings George Bailey to the stage and the lesson he learned about how his life made a tremendous impact on those around him. Bailey learns these lessons through the help of his guardian angel, Clarence.
?It is a fairly true adaptation of the movie,? said Tres Hatch, marketing and public relations director of the Alpine Playhouse. ?So stage-wise, if you come expecting to see something fairly true to that, that is exactly what you are going to get.?
Hatch said all of the leads portray their characters to perfection.
?It really is a funny, classic rendition of what happens when someone in despair believes that their life doesn?t have any meaning,? Hatch said.
Ticket prices are $9 for adults and $7 for children. Price includes free popcorn. Tickets are available by calling the box office at 492-0499, or by picking them up at the theater. The theater is located at 81 S. 100 West, Alpine.
