Well it was nice while it lasted, but free speech is now officially over here at BYU. Because if you write anything expressing your opinion, anyone who disagrees will use StalkerNet to look up your personal info and harass you for your opinions. For those of you who don't know, on Thursday, some clever BYU student sent a very rude and self-righteous email to all the people who wrote letters to the editor here regarding homosexual marriage. Of course the person in question didn't sign his name at all, because obviously he's doing the work of God by harassing total strangers, and doesn't need to publish his identity to anyone. All they gave was the email address goldenrule292@hotmail.com and the nom de plume 'Honest Integrity'. How quaint.
Well Mr/Ms. 'Honest Integrity', perhaps you should be aware that spam is illegal. The legal definition is 'any message or posting, regardless of its content, that is sent to multiple recipients who have not specifically requested the message.'
So the real question is, did you not sign your name because you knew what you were doing was illegal, or did you not sign your name because you're too cowardly to take credit for your words?
I'm a big girl. I take credit for what I write.
