I won't take this anymore

I was very upset by the letter that said how intolerant we as members of the church are towards gay people. I'm not threatened or scared by gay marriages, I'm angered by it. If we allow this to happen we are giving our stamp of approval on this lifestyle. It is wrong, you 'tolerant people' say so yourself. I don't think that because we are against gay marriages we should be viewed as bigots.

People like you think that we need to accept everything that is thrown in our face or else we will be viewed as ignorant and prejudiced. Well, the truth is the media only represents about 10 percent of the views of Americans because liberals manipulate most of it. I'm sick of being force fed the minorities views and having to accept them in order to be viewed as tolerant and open-minded.

Get a spine. Don't criticize me for standing up for what is right, or for speaking out against what is wrong. Because no matter what way you look at it, it's wrong.

Don't ever compare homosexuality to polygamy, because it is something none of us at BYU have ever practiced and something the Bible and Book of Mormon show is acceptable at some times and an abomination at others. The Lord is the one who decides that, not any of us. To use polygamy as a way to show approval for gay marriages is ignorance and cowardice. Homosexual marriages infringes on my rights because I'm being forced to accept it. It is already something that is being taught in schools as an acceptable lifestyle choice, and those are not the things that I want my children to be taught. Take a stand and praise the Lord for people like Bush.
