With the recent low turn-out for they BYUSA elections, maybe it's time the administration rethinks the entire election process. Instead of having students use the archaic method of casting ballots via the internet, maybe they should modernize the system and turn it into more of a reality based contest similar to Fear Factor or Survivor.
If you desire so much to be BYUSA president, let's see you outlast your opponents in feats of mental and physical toughness. Each week the candidate with the lowest score would be eliminated from the competition. And if they really wanted to make the contest interesting, the losers could be voted out of school for a semester.
If you want to see increased student participation in the next BYUSA elections, give us something to care about. Make it interesting for us. Or at least give us the opportunity to throw pies at the winner if he or she doesn't fulfill all his or her campaign promises.
