Dear Editor,
I am appalled and embarrassed that BYU students are selling their free tickets to the Olympic Medal Ceremony/Concert series.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave the Medals Plaza to the Olympics on the grounds that it would be a free venue so exclusions would not be made due to monetary reasons.
Many students at this church-owned university as well as other Utahns and church members are making a profit off of a venue that countless volunteers have given their time and talents toward.
The world is watching our actions and they are taking notes.
The Olympics embody fairness and goodwill and I don't think that the people making a buck off this venue are ready to host the world in the true spirit of the Games.
