Elder Charles Didier, of the Presidency of the Seventy, spoke about the importance of building bridges of faith rather than walls of separation.
'Men are building too many walls and not enough bridges,' Elder Didier said.
He said bridges of faith open the door to immortality and eternal life.
Elder Didier explained that Jesus Christ and his atonement form the centerpiece of the bridge of the Plan of Salvation.
The Holy Ghost is the foundation of bridges of faith, Elder Didier said.
Elder Didier said these bridges can only withstand the storms of life according to the strength of their foundations.
He added that the lives of church members are like swinging bridges suspended between baptism and death. The most difficult part comes in the middle, when one is furthest away from the two grounding points.
Elder Didier reminded members it is these bridges that bring them back to Heavenly Father.
