Tickets for concerts and other events at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City are now available online at www.lds.org.
The newest addition to the website of The Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints contains information about Temple Square-related events, including those in the Conference Center, Conference Center Theater, Tabernacle and Assembly Hall.
According to Doug Balls, Assistant Operations Manager for Temple Square and the Conference Center, the Church undertook the online ticket project to provide better customer-service for patrons.
'When we have Tabernacle Choir concerts, for example, the lines are hours long,' Balls said. 'So we wanted to avoid that.'
Tickets are not available online for Church conferences; those will continue to be distributed by local Church leaders, according to a press release issued by The Church of Jesus Christ.
The first event for which tickets are available is the 'Voices of Friendship' children''s concert on October 20.
From the church website, anyone can click on 'obtain tickets online,' then be guided through the buying process. Patrons can then choose whether to have their tickets mailed to them, or have them held at the will-call desk at the Conference Center.
