Dear Editor,
While studying for an upcoming test in the periodicals section of the Harold B. Lee Library, we noticed an excessive amount of socializing.
I don't know about you, but we go to the library to study. Why? Because we have to, and our grades don't come as easy as 1,2,3.
In our opinion social activity should take place outside of the library, and in our homes or where it is not disturbing to the people around.
As we found when we visited the periodical section of the library, it is often being used to socialize and we found it being used as a dating service.
The socialization that is taking place in the periodical section is very distracting and disturbing to others who are trying to further their education.
We feel people are being very unappreciative of the quiet time that is being offered to them. It would be appreciated if the socializing could be kept to a minimum, and people would be more considerate as others study.
