Dear Editor,
I am tired of all the discussion concerning women's dress on campus. I hope that my sarcasm will show how tiresome and pointless these debates are.
First, let me thank the fine young men who took it upon themselves to call their sisters to repentance. What an unenviable task! Yet, you courageous lads had the fortitude to write an almost-anonymous letter to the editor in order to chastise the young women of BYU. Regardless of the fact that none of you have the guts to actually approach one of these girls and tell her what you think of her dress, I still admire your moxie. I am also amazed that you would actually take the place of one of God's anointed and act as a watchperson for the students of this university. Talk about your tough jobs!
Usually Heavenly Father appoints one of his servants to act as a prophet or priesthood leader and instruct us concerning the Lord's commandments. But you gentlemen had the zeal to call this responsibility your own. It was wonderful to see how you wrote of your love for your wayward sisters. That did not seem sacrilegious in any way. Again, I commend you for your efforts.
You have essentially dismissed the need to follow our leaders, because you are so willing to take their place. Again, I thank you.
