A limited number of deer hunting permits are left for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
As of July 13, there are 13,868 permits left for the Northern Region and 3,798 for the Northeastern region.
According to Laura Milton, information officer for the Central Region, their permits sold out on July 12.
There is a cap for each region as to how many permits are sold.
'Not overselling permits is important to the type of hinting experience hunters have,' said Judi Tutorow, wildlife licensing coordinator for the Division of Wildlife Resources. 'It should keep hinter numbers at a level that will provide a quality experience for those afield and provide hunters with good numbers of buck deer each year.'
There are also a few nonresident permits left for these three regions.
For the North Region there are 2,492. Central Regions has 712 permits left and for the Northeastern Region there are still 1,326.
'There won't be any additional permits granted,' said Mark Hadley, the Information Specialist for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
