Elder Yoshihiko Kikuchi, a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, gave members three steps to follow in sharing the message of Jesus Christ. Following these steps will help bring people back 'home,' he said.

Elder Kikuchi said members must first cultivate an awareness of their own potential to bring others to the knowledge of the truth.

Quoting President Gordon B. Hinckley, Elder Kikuchi said, 'Let him pray with great earnest about it. Let each member pray.'

Second, Elder Kikuchi said being an example is members' best tool.

Elder Kikuchi said, again citing President Hinckley, 'As we live the gospel, we will be like a lighthouse on a hilltop, 'the light' and 'the salt of the earth.''

By studying the scriptures, praying daily and meditating, Elder Kikuchi said the Lord will bless members to be more sensitive to speak to people the Lord has prepared.

Thirdly, the key to success is sharing the message when both the member and his or her friend feel the Spirit.

'As we seek and pray in faith, then the Lord will guide us,' Elder Kikuchi said. 'His elect will soon embrace the 'glad tidings of great joy,' to partake of the eternal and 'infinite atonement' of Jesus Christ.'

Elder Kikuchi spoke to all within the sound of his voice as he testified of Heavenly Father's plan to bring His children home.

'I know that your Heavenly Father has a special plan for you and your family to return to live with Him,' Elder Kikuchi said. 'Let's go home.'

Elder Kikuchi expressed his desire, and that of members, to share the message of Heavenly Father's love with others.

He shared his testimony with a woman named Pattie a few years ago while on a return trip from California.

Elder Kikuchi asked Pattie if she knew she had a loving Father in Heaven. She didn't, she said.

Did she know about a special plan to keep her family together forever? She said no.

'Would you like to know about it?' Elder Kikuchi said.

She would, she said.

'When Pattie heard the word of Heavenly Father, she was touched deeply and she responded to His voice,' Elder Kikuchi said.

Elder Kikuchi quoted scripture, teaching that the elect hear the voice of the Lord, the Lord knows them and they will not harden their hearts.

'Let us prepare to go to Heavenly Father's home,' Elder Kikuchi said. 'Let's go home.'
