With regards to those who have expressed grievances with university policy and the decisions of our administrators, I would like to say that at BYU, like any other university, there are politics. I know that these 'intra-politics' have, in the past, dictated the course of university action, but it is beyond my sphere of knowledge/guts to comment more specifically.
I was initially shocked to make this discovery. It seems there's not much more you can do to make headway with your ideas at a large university like this than to join with others (the more the better) in pursuit of your cause. From my experience, BYUSA clubs have been a good way to influence university policy. Having said that, though, I should warn you all that politics remains politics. I wish you luck with your petty inflammations.
