Letter to the Editor: Good things come to those who don't wait

Dear Editor:

Last time we checked, good things don't come to those who wait. In regards to a previous letter titled 'Where have you been?' the letter writers said, 'We are righteous priesthood holders anxiously waiting to carry out the prophet's order.' According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, to wait means 'to remain inactive in readiness or expectation.'

If we understand the prophet's order, this whole process of getting married involves searching, which is an active verb. As we strive through our daily activities of rigorous coursework, working out in the gym and attending weekly services, those of us who are single are also asking, 'Where are those 'well-tabernacled men?''

You may be spending too much time waiting for your dream girl to come to you instead of actively seeking her out. There is nothing wrong with having high expectations, but waiting for Barbie or Cindy Crawford to walk into your life might be a little high. You may need to reevaluate your standards. A letter from their leaders.
