Elder E. Ray Bateman of the Quorum of the Seventy said members of the church should participate in gathering Abraham's seed.

'It is our responsibility as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to gather Abraham's seed and bring them unto Christ,' Elder Bateman said.

Elder Bateman asked what the members are doing to gather Abraham's seed.

'In keeping with this counsel of the Savior, do we talk about the church?' Elder Bateman said. 'Do we invite our friends to come to church with us?'

Elder Bateman promised that the seed of Abraham would be ready and willing to accept the gospel.

'They should be easy to find, for they are as numerous as the sands of the sea shore,' Elder Batemen said. 'The seed of Abraham hear (the Lord's) voice and will not harden their hearts.'

Elder Bateman compared the gospel to a pearl.

'You and I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is the pearl of great price,' Elder Bateman said. Each of those little grains of sand are Abraham's children. They need to be cultured to become pearls.'

Elder Bateman quoted President Gordon B. Hinckley on how members should reach out to non-members.

'Be friendly,' Elder Bateman quoted. 'You have to make a friend before you make a convert. Conversion follows friendship.'

Elder Bateman invited members to reaffirm their responsibility to share the Gospel with others.

'Brothers and sisters, let us renew our commitment to seek the Spirit to help us find those who are Abraham's's seed,' Elder Bateman said. 'Our Father in Heaven wants all of Abraham's seed to return to him.'
