Elder Neal A. Maxwell will be featured in an interview with television commentator Hugh Hewitt at 9 p.m. today on KUED-Channel 7.
The one-hour television interview coincides with the semi-annual LDS General Conference which begins Saturday morning.
The theme of the interview is Neal A. Maxwell: A Discussion of Values, Family and Personal Conviction, according to a news release from KUED.
Nathan Coombs, an employee at KUED, said the program will be a personal discussion of Elder Maxwell's life.
'It should include his personal battle with cancer, what it means to be a Utahn and discuss some of his religious views,' Coombs said.
The interview with Elder Maxwell was taped this past spring.
Fred Esplin, KUED General Manager said, 'KUED presents an intimate portrait of (Elder) Maxwell as a way to highlight a significant Utahn and to offer thoughtful discourse about our lives.'
'For more than a quarter century, Americans of every creed and conviction have trusted PBS to create opportunities for self-discovery, exploration, and serious reflection,' he said.
Elder Maxwell was also previously interviewed by Hewitt in 1997 for the miniseries, 'Searching for God in America'
The one-hour interview will then be rebroadcast Sunday, Oct. 4, at 4 p.m.
