Journey to headline at 2015 Stadium of Fire

Journey will be the headline performance for the 2015 Stadium of Fire. Emcee Montel Williams made this announcement at a press conference in BYU's Cougar Room of the LaVell Edwards Stadium March 24 at 2 p.m.

Olivia Holt, Disney Channel star of 'I Didn't Do It,' will also be performing July 4 with Journey at the LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Carrie Underwood performed at least year's Stadium of Fire, and Carly Rae Jepsen, Kelly Clarkson and Cirque Du Soleil performed in 2013. Previous artists include Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Blue Man Group, Brad Paisley, David Archuleta, The Beach Boys, Bob Hope, The Osmonds and others.

Journey is a rock band that began in San Francisco in the '70s, with lead singer Steve Perry joining in 1977. 'Escape,' the band's eighth album, reached high sales numbers with three top-10 hits on the album: 'Open Arms,' 'Who's Cryin' Now' and the all-time classic, 'Don't Stop Believin'.'

Steve Augeri replaced Perry in 1998 but stayed only eight years because of supposed throat infection problems. After searching for replacements, the band found Journey cover songs on YouTube by Filipino singer Arnel Pineda in December 2007.
